Just call me Mrs. Blogs-a-lot

Aren't I just so good at this blogging thing? Yeah, I think so too. Yes I haven't posted since September, but I really like to build suspense so you never know when my next one will be. Pretty smart eh? Yeah, I really am just kinda lazy about the whole thing :) Every day I think "hm, I should write a new post today," and then I just don't cause I am cool like that. Plus I am pretty sure that my life is pretty boring compared to people with kids and stuff, so I don't always have stuff to write about. Kinda like right now. We had a good Halloween, nothing to write home about. Or blog about really. So anyway, this is why I don't blog. Because it ends up just being pointless like this. So I am going to be done now. Hopefully something exciting will happen sometime soon so I can blog about it :)

This is real, this is me!

Seriously, I really am updating!! Wahoo! Well since I haven't posted a real entry since the beginning of July, I will try to remember everything that has gone on. Wish me luck. Oh, and I don't have my camera with me so there will be no pictures. I will try to get them on another post tomorrow. Sorry.
In the middle of July I went to Girls Camp and let's just say that is exactly where I'm supposed to be. We have the best young women in the world, and not just because they are mine. They really are. We went for 4 days and 3 nights and every single minute was amazing. I just love the girls I serve with and I am pretty sure we weren't very good examples to the girls about being quiet when they were supposed to go to bed at night :) We almost had a few accidents. It was such a good time and I PRAY that I am still in Young Women's next year for camp. I love it.
Then, an hour after I got home from girls camp my family left for a camping trip, but don't you fret, I made sure that I had enough time to shower in between. Everyone was happy about that. We went up to a camp ground in Mantua and it was so fun. We had planned to go to the lake all day on Saturday, but when we got there it said that it was "closed by the health department, so swim at your own risk, but it may cause swimmers itch." Yeah, we had a really hard time making that decision. So we went back and we all played by the creek where they had a rope swing, so we still had a really good time. Then we just hung out and spent time together and it was a blast!
Around the end of July, I got a call from a kid named Cass that I was really good friends with at college and he said he was going to be in town so we should try to get our group of friends from college to go to dinner and then hang out. So I think it was the last weekend in July, we all met up and went to Olive Garden in Salt Lake then we went to Boondocks and went mini golfing. It was seriously so much fun. We all acted like we hadn't ever been apart. It is so fun to see what everyone has been up to and how much everyone's lives have changed. One of them even has a baby!!! So crazy!! I loved that time in my life and that night was so fun to remember all those good times and laugh at how gay we were. Also, I have to thank my cute hubby for going with me and for how well he gets along with all my friends from college. It is awesome! So that was definitely a highlight of my summer, and I think we should do it again soon!!
The first weekend in August we had Youth Conference, and I can't even say enough about how much I loved that! We went and did the program they do at Snow College, and I think that everyone should have the opportunity to do that at some point in their life. It is so fun and such a good way to get the youth to work together and get to know each other better. Plus, I felt like I was in high school again. It rocked.
Then the rest of August was just kinda same old same old :) Lots of swimming and barbeques and sun. And I am so sad that it is over. This was such an awesome summer, I couldn't have asked for more. So that is pretty much the summary of my summer in a few paragraphs. And now I will leave you with a list of random things I love:

Snow cones from the place in Peterson's parking lot
Summer evenings
Driving with the windows and the sunroof down and a good song playing on the radio
When Chase kisses me on the forehead with two day old scruff
Watching the sunset on a blanket at the park
Pedicures
Riding in the cart while Chase golfs
Chase
The anticipation of my birthday getting closer
Shopping when I DO have money
Flip Flops
Updating my blog :)
I love life. This is exactly where I'm supposed to be. I hope everyone enjoyed summer as much as I did. Love you all!!

You know the drill

I don't really need to explain, I'm sure you have seen this on a millions other blogs too :) You don't have to do it if you don't want, I just thought it would be fun to see what people remember.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog that's okay too.

M I A...

Where did July go? I seriously can't believe it is August and summer is almost over. I have been missing in action lately, and I think July just disappeared while I was gone. I have so much fun stuff to post, but I keep forgetting to bring my camera with me, and it just won't quite be the same without pictures. July was so crazy, I had girls camp, my family camping trip, another girls night, and youth conference. And I had SOOOOO much fun at every single one of them! I can't wait to blog about them, so be prepared for a VERY long blog to come, hopefully sooner than later. Hope you all are enjoying your summer!

-Really good friends and really good food-

Last night I went to dinner with a few of the other girls in our Young Women's presidency. Well I was already excited to go because I just love all of them to death, and then they told me we were going to the Cheesecake Factory! I had never been there and had always heard good things about it, so I was pretty happy to finally be able to try it. And I absolutely loved it! It was so yummy and the atmosphere was awesome. Plus, it really helps to have such fun friends to go with. We had a really good time and just talked forever. I think we actually started to kinda get the stink eye from our waitress because we stayed so long after we were done eating. Anyway, we went for Liz's birthday, so we told them that and this is how they brought out her cheesecake!!
Isn't that so cute? I loved how they added that little personal touch by writing her name on it too. We were all pretty impressed! (A little too impressed probably!) Anyway, we had such a great time, I love those girls so much. Here is a picture of all four of us after we had stuffed ourselves silly!! :)

Oh, and I HIGHLY recommend trying the Cheesecake Factory if you haven't already- it's SO GOOD!! Hope everyone has a GREAT holiday weekend!!

Life is good...

Man, I have a lot to talk about!! We have been having so much fun lately!! But, since I have so much stuff and I am just learning how to put pictures on, this may be a LOOOONG post! Anyway, a couple weeks ago we went to the Bees game and it was a BLAST!! We had so much fun. I only have one picture from the night though cause I was so distracted that I forgot about my camera!! Sad, but true :) So this is the one picture, we are cool!
Then last Friday night I had Girls Night!!! Words can not describe the joy that comes with a night out with just the girls laughing, dancing, bowling, and of course eating!! We had a smaller group this time but we still had so much fun. We met at Mimi's Cafe for dinner, then headed over to the bowling alley, and I'm pretty sure we had the funnest time ever! Then we went back to my house for a sleep over and danced the night away! I love those girls so much and I am so happy that we are still such good friends 4 years later. I hope that it lasts forever!! I wanna be little old ladies still doing our dance video at 2 in the morning!! Then we got up the next morning and met Hannah for breakfast and peed our pants again! I love all of you SO much and I can't wait til next month!! Oh, and my batteries in my camera died while we were bowling, so I only got a couple pics :( But if any of you read this will you send me some from your cameras? Thanks!!

Last but not least, on Saturday night we went to the Manti Pageant. It was so much fun. Chase's grandma and his dad and step-mom live down there, so we went in the afternoon and spent some time with them, then we went and got dinner and went to the pageant. My sister Britany, her husband Josh and their two kids Kylee and Chase went with us and we all had a blast! The weather was just right during the pageant, the only bad thing was the mosquitos! They were all over! We all got bit about five times before we got bug spray on. But other than that it was great! I was a little tired from the girls night, so I nodded off a couple of times, but my nephew Chase was there to make sure I stayed awake, so that was good :) Kylee wasn't too interested, she wanted to leave as soon as we got there, but she did good and didn't complain. After the pageant we went back to Chase's grandma's house and roasted marshmellows around a fire then went to bed. It was a fun little trip and I'm glad we got to visit family again! Here are a few pictures...we were getting a little bored waiting for the pageant to start, so we went a little overboard with the camera...

We love Manti so much!! If we could both find good jobs down there, we would seriously consider moving. Only if all of our family and friends did too though :) So that is what has been going on in our lives for the last few weeks! We aren't too exciting are we? :)

15 Again

Last night for our Young Women's activity we went swimming at our pool, and can I just say that it was an absolute BLAST!! It was the most fun activity we have had yet and I didn't want it to be over! I wasn't sure if I would swim, but I wore my suit just in case I ended up wanting to. Well the girls were pressuring us leaders to get in so we finally decided to and I am SOO glad we did! We played games that I haven't played forever! We played colors, marco polo, and hands-up stands-up!! It was so fun and I'm pretty sure I felt like I was 15 all over again. The water was freezing at first, but it got better as soon as we started playing. I love being in Young Womens!!

Oh man.

I have to admit, I was hoping no one would find this until I knew what I was doing! :) So until I can figure it out it might be a little plain because I have NO idea how to put pictures on and NO idea how to make my page cute. So there you have it, I guess if you want my blog to be cute and interesting, then all of you people who have cute and interesting blogs better help me out here!

I guess we will see...

Well the last straw has been placed on the camel's back. Here is my very first post. I am now a blogger. Hopefully I can keep the 2 people who will read my blog mildly entertained from time to time :) I will try to post something real pretty soon, but for now it's just my introduction. Sorry Hannah, I know this will only keep you entertained for about 4.5 seconds, but you get what you get right? Let's see how this goes!
